@YTartschool

Pardon the delay my dear students, here's the promised coloring class, check it πŸ”ͺ Had a lot of fun with this one, hope it helps!

Also have a good Sunday. It's mandatory.

@devinayaz9210

Thank you for saying the artschool doesnt actually have AI. My heart dropped for a sec like " NO PLEASE MARC, DONT TELL ME YOU WENT TO THE DARK SIDE"

@D2Kprime

Bruh............I never tried using Gradient Maps until I saw this video. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!!!!!

The level of robustness on color is off the charts doing this. I can finally get the tones that I want. Particularly skin tones. You are THE man!

@WYD28

1:43 to 3:19 is just magic. I don’t understand how it happens. I watch it happen but definitely magic. It just goes from 2D to 3D. I can never get to that painting stage. My art needs the lineart to keep the form but shading like this is the goal!! Gotta find your class on it and keep practicing

@CharliC-ww6yy

Wake up , mark just uploaded

@enio9477

I have color blindness. I've always struggled with colors and understanding how to color my paintings. This method will allow me to stay in my comfort zone (black and white drawings) while FINALLY being able to add colors to them. Thank you so much!!!

@alexmurillo2541

setting the shading layer to multiply and painting under is such a big brained move, It never occured to me... absolutely brilliant.

@KatsudonArt

When I discovered Gradient maps last year, it blew me away, I was able to make artworks waaaay faster, like stuff I do for 3 days, I can now paint in just a day!

@Dr._Nicolas

To all new artist that are starting, you actually need a good knowledge of light and value to do step 2, i've been drawing for almost 5 years now and value is a hard one so don't be too hard on yourself, is the tallest difficulty curve. This is the best greyscale to color video out there that actually shows you how to go step by step kudos.

@johnmivule-novabow8143

Thank you so much for this; I've been struggling to color my drawings for a bit (digitally). I've also been following your yearly Art Schedule and practicing some of the tasks for each month. Will definitely try the strategy out in Krita.

Thank you again. Keep up the FIRE

@aratakicheeto8448

Your previous videos about grayscale to color helped so much that I stick to that method until today.

It made my process super easy. Without having to focus too much on color and values at the same time, instead I start with values and followed the other steps along the way. Always so helpful, sir Marc!!

@castowhere

I've been digitally painting for a few years and had heard of gradient maps but never knew what they were. Thank you so much for this video oh my god this changes everything 🀩

@Spamkromite

Dang, why when I'm struggling with what type of painting I should do for some character sheets, you appear and upload this. You made my day, as usual. Much love from Spain, Marc-sensei 😁

@rovingut5171

I can't thank you enough for your help to the art community.

@lunerlilly

Thank you teacher, I'm legitimately starting a color study journey.

Also are you professor Xavier? You always post what we need, when we need it. πŸ˜‚

@jsnk402

the way i literally was going to come to your channel and rewatch the video on how to color and then you post this!! mind reader you!!!!

@corujariousa

Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial. I am just a self-thought amateur who likes to draw since early age. These type of videos help me improve much faster.

@catsforlife2107

Sometimes I can't believe the amount information you give to us for free, from the bottom of my heart thank you for this gift youve given usπŸ™β€οΈ

@mr.xquienes4704

12 years on Youtube and still being the best chanel of ph art! Thk you so much for teaching a lot ❀

@cloudshifter

4:36 Something great people can do is fill the color with ambient light (aka environment light)
