The most beautiful opera ever written. No poison, no kings, no crowds, no marches. Pyotr illitch beloved composer and genius.

@ТатьянаМефи

Какие великолепные исполнители! Моя любимая опера, спасибо!

@timfrancis3997

An absolute gem of a Opera 👍👍👍

@paulmusic4991

An imaginative and enjoyable production of one of the best stories in all opera, albeit with some caveats. There's an early disappointment when the Chorus & Peasants' Dance is cut short in the first scene. In fact there's no dance at all... or peasants!! Onegin is seen on the fringes surveying the wreckage of his life when not part of the action. It's an interesting idea, but something of a distraction during the famous Letter Scene. The staging is clever with the garden bench at the rear coming in and out of view when necessary for the external scenes. The performers suit their respective roles perfectly and the orchestra and chorus are top notch. Bravo Finnish National Opera... and OperaVision for providing this treat.

This is my favorite opera! Got to see Dmitri Hvorostovsky do Onegin the last time he did it at the Metropolitan Opera.

@Hongaars1969

I had the pleasure of my first ever Eugene Onegin at Frankfurt Opera in Jan 2023. Beautiful. Thank you to Operavision for ongoing high quality uploads.

@joannahoskins7743

Thank you so much for making this available. This is my favorite opera. How I miss Hvorostovsky in the role of Onegin in the Metropolitan Opera's 2007 production. I watch the video often.

First and foremost, I would like to highlight the exceptional mastery of maestro Alan Buribayev, whose virtuosity and depth captivate from the very first notes. His unique musicality and profound understanding of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's works transform the performance into a true marvel. Under his direction, every detail and nuance gains special significance and emotional power, unveiling new dimensions of the classics.

Particularly noteworthy is maestro Alan Buribayev's exquisite attention to nuance and his almost telepathic connection with the orchestra and singers. His ability to breathe life into every note while remaining faithful to the traditions of interpretation makes his rendition truly unique. His boundless love for Tchaikovsky’s music is evident in every gesture, turning his performance into a genuine celebration for the soul.

The energy and inspiration maestro Alan Buribayev brings to his performance create an atmosphere of complete immersion, offering the audience pure enjoyment and profound emotional resonance. His conducting is not merely a display of mastery but an art form capable of igniting hearts and leaving an indelible mark on the memory.
