This is a superb interview! 🎉 Craig, it sparked my interest when you were talking about your childhood ideas and the choices in your career 😊 I so agree that the multidisciplinary approach is the best because some skills and knowledge are transferrable and may even give you some advantage. You explain everything so well, Craig. A healthy competition leads to advancement and more collaboration because we all like to learn from the best. I did see Planet of the Apes, more recent movie and some other great movies mentioned here. When I was growing up in Poland in the 70s and 80s, I remember myself how, right after watching the first Star Wars, I wanted to be a Jedi. I know this is going to sound funny but I remember telling my friends to call me Jedi. 😊 Thank you so much for this interview Film Courage 🙏

It’s impossible to “get to know you” when someone just bumps into you and wants to pitch you some idea. Most of times that’s the only moment it’s even possible. You definitely wouldn’t hang out with some stranger for no reason. It’s just not possible in the real world.

Love the opening lines so great

While the idea of interning is a cool one, it is absolutely not a viable option for most people these days simply due to the economics. And especially if you live in a major city, such as LA or NYC, forget about it. Nobody has the money to go 3-4 months doing a full-time job for no money. It's as simple as that.

I'm going to have to work extremely hard on making my film interesting.

short story idea: kid gets christmas present of a light saber toy. finds out its a real light saber someone had replaced the toy with the real thing. then the reaction of the parents and the world. then those who want to get it to learn how it works.

Solution: Develop your own IP, produce, distribute, rinse repeat. If it doesn't take off do another until you succeed. As long you don't own YOUR IP you are screwed. You will NEVER get rich working for the other guy - NEVER.
