@e.a.corral4713

Surprised that General Patton did not make him his personal pilot? Decorated him & ended the court martial. Read about him in 1 of my magazines.

@kevinbabu8919

Charles Carpenter was indeed a true braveheart which impressed General Patton so much that he wanted such men for the army 🪖 !!!!! Your videos are getting better and better, FactBytes !!!!! I also wish you and your family a very Happy New Year, FactBytes !!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊

@JS-ob4oh

Like many WW2 veterans, when he returned to civilian life, he never told anyone, including his students, about what he did.

@iancostigan5047

@robertotamesis1783

Why wasn't he given the Medal of Honor . We know his grave mistakes for friendly fire. Which was not losing a plane , especially doing a stunts like flying underneath the Golden Gate bridge by Ira Bong who got a Medal of Honor. This crazy Major should have gotten Medal of honor too.

@davidnelson5891

Wonder if his plane is in the Smithsonian
