I was 10 years old in 1976, I remember these songs plus it was the Bicentennial year. Great time to be a kid!
The Bellamy Bros are anything but one hit wonders. They went on to have numerous top songs on the Country charts.
The title of this video should be "Hits From 1976 That You Still Hear All The Time"
What a time to be alive and to be a teenager. 1976. Performers actually played instruments. I have good memories of that.
High school! I was 16 and was having the time of my life! "The boys are back in town " "Afternoon Delight" what a time to be alive! Where anything was possible. I can see in my minds eye my friends we were young, fearless & free but the music will forever live in my soul until I stop breathing.
Thin Lizzy had another songs called Whiskey In A Jar and Jailbreak! Thin Lizzy isn't a one hit wonder by far! Sliver Convention did sing Fly Robin Fly as well! Vicki Sue Robertson did sing with Junkyard Dog with Grab Them Cakes years later!
I'm glad I was 17 years old back in '76 & got to really appreciate listening to these classics. I still listen to them from time to time.
Graduated high school in '76!! Music was our life back then!!
1976 ! One of the best summers in my life !!!!!ππππ and all of these songs were part of it !
I graduated High School in 1976 and got my first full time radio job,I played every one of these songs on the radio when they were new.
I graduated high school in 76.... great bicentennial year... we had the Best Music!!
A pity the narrator talks a lot and you can hear only seconds of the songs
Bellamy Brothers were hardly a One Hit Wonder. They were a country duo, and Let Your Love Flow was a crossover hit. They had 26 Top 10 country hits, including ten #1's.
The boys are back in town gives me goosebumps because as a young marine stationed at camp lejeune, when we got back from desert storm all the bars and clubs were playing it non stop
I wouldn't say Thin Lizzy is a forgotten act. They may not have had another song that "charted", but fans of hard rock and heavy metal certain knows the bamd very well.
Play that funky music will still get folks up and dancing along with turn the beat around
I was 16 in 1976 and those songs bring back memories for sure. I met the Bellamy Brothers in the summer of 1992 at a town celebration. It was a very small crowd and it was much easier to talk to them. Great guys and so talented.
Thin Lizzy's Whiskey in the Jar was No.1 in Ireland and No.6 in the UK in 1973. Definitely not a one-hit wonder.
I Miss 1976, The Bicentennial of America! Who else remembers Celebrating the Bicentennial!ππΊπΈ
