Leaves out important details: The VC were essentially destroyed during Tet, because they revealed themselves. From mid-1968 onwards, the NVA carried the majority of the fighting in the South. That may actually have been beneficial to the North, since the VC were less and less of a factor at the negotiating table, and in the Provisional Government.
