Love this song for 25 years. I asked Nick Hexum about it at a Q and A with the audience in LA; he just simply said that it had an "atmospheric backdrop and meaning " or something like that. I smiled at him and thanked him.

I bought Transistor the day it was released, but I haven't listened to 311, other than a song here and there, in more than 20 years. I was a teenager in the 90s but grew to prefer 2000s music. Anyway, this song popped up in my timeline and I was shocked to find that the vocals remind me so much of Animal Collective. Two bands I would've never guessed my brain would connect.
