Odd Against Tomorrow is memorable to me for its unique storyline, on location NYC shoot, the actors, but also the music score by jazz musician John Lewis

I read once, Belafonte and Poitier made a promise to each other that they wouldn’t take Sambo or Stepin Fetchit type roles. He definitely kept his promise with this movie. Robert Ryan is great as always and when I was young I used to confuse him with Sterling Hayden. Great set up, dialogue and characters.

Se-ri-ous flick!!! Now I see why my Aunt LOVED Belegonte! Suave tna-a-mo-fo. Shelly Winters, one of my all time favorite supporting actresses! Cinematography and score off the chain too. Timeless story line well written. Thank you for introducing me to this film Black Tree TV.

I Finally got to see this movie, Harry Belafonte did a great job as usual. The beautiful Cicely Tyson even had a cameo, and the infamous Shelley Winters! I always thought the woman who played Belafonte's wife in this, was Beautiful, even the woman who played his mistress was Beautiful! The seductress ( some black men's kryptonite) wasn't bad either! Overall, I thought it was a good movie, nice plot, and suspenseful !Harry Belafonte was definitely a good Actor and musician!

Guys, if you like Real movies, ya GOTTA WATCH THIS. Totally noir, and not pretty, but great performances by Belafonte, Ryan and Begley shows life as it really is. For what it's worth, pay attention to that scene in the night club when somebody's singing--that really cracked me up.
