Walking in PARDUBICE, Czech Republik - 4K
Pardubice is a city in the Czech Republic, located about 100 km east of Prague. It has around 90,000 residents.
The city is famous for its gingerbread, a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. Pardubice Castle, dating to the 13th century, is one of the main sights and now houses a museum. The Green Gate, a 60-meter-high tower, offers panoramic views of the city. The city is also known for the Velká Pardubická, one of the oldest and toughest horse races in Europe, first held in 1874. Fun fact: Pardubice is the birthplace of Semtex, the plastic explosive.
The old town square features colorful Renaissance and Baroque buildings. Every October, the town hosts a gingerbread festival, adding a sweet touch to its medieval charm.
On this walk we see much of the old town with the Pardubice Castle. The peacocks are also running around which makes it a fun atmosphere. At last we also see streets outside the old town and check out the modern city center before we end our walk at the OC Palác Pardubice.
