📚Description: There has been lots of talk on Facebook Groups about the new Gibson.com Exclusive DC Juniors having the tailpiece in the wrong location. I can confirm, that with the stock tailpiece, it is not possible to properly intonate the guitar as the bridge is centered around 25" making the lower 4 strings flat without any forward adjustment - I tested a 2013 Billie Joe Armstrong and measured the bridge in a better location. I also tested a 2006 Les Paul Vixen and found it was also centered at ~25" and a Custom Shop Wraptail measured centered at 24.9". It seems the placement actually varies quite a bit so perhaps seeing these at 25" isn't all out of the ordinary for the manufacture. Seems strange! However, Gibson is including an intonatable wrap tail with all new ones and sending them out upon request to people who purchased them before that was standard issue to correct it. Regrettably, I did not install the new bridge due to not-thinking + time constraints. I would personally approach these likely any other DC Junior - they aren't historically known to be 100% intonatable, but products like the mojotone bridge are believed to help since they have the lower strings adjusted higher according to the viewer that NGD'd this one!
