But what’s the theme of this party? Drumroll, please… multiples of nine! We'll be counting:

Number Shaped Balloons: Up in the sky, colorful balloons float like giant jellybeans. Each balloon represents a group of nine.

Fireflies: These little bugs are like living lanterns. They blink on and off, creating a secret code. And guess what? Their dance moves follow the same pattern as the balloons! They go 9, 18, 27, just like our friends in the sky.

Decorative Lights: Picture twinkling fairy lights strung up in front of a mansion. They’re like tiny stars that guide us. And guess what? Yep, they’re grouped in nines too! They light up in a magical sequence: 9, 18, 27, and beyond.

Now, why is all this important? Well, it helps us understand something called multiplication. When we multiply, we’re basically adding groups of the same number. So when we say “9 times 2,” we’re really saying “two groups of 9.” That’s 18! 🎈
