Originally released in 1963, the Gibson Firebird features a striking reverse headstock and reverse body design. The current incarnation of the Firebird has a traditional 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck through body construction and redesigned, high output Alnico V Firebird pickups. The resulting tone is rich, and warm, with plenty of sustain.

The Gibson Firebird has a fast, SlimTaper neck, with 12" radius, bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 Medium Jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays.
