ADC’s 10th Anniversary: Conversation & Concert with CCH Pounder, Delfeayo Marsalis, & Katrina Andry
In celebration of the African Diaspora Consortium’s (ADC) 10th anniversary, join us for an enriching evening of conversation and music at the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in New Orleans. This year’s theme, “Connecting Lives & Uplifting Communities Globally Through the Intersection of History, Education, and the Arts,” brings together legendary actress CCH Pounder, acclaimed jazz musician Delfeayo Marsalis, and visionary artist Katrina Andry. Moderated by BlackTree Media’s CEO and ADC Board Member Jamaal Finkley, this gathering honors the resilience, achievements, and cultural heritage of African diaspora communities.
This event takes place in New Orleans’ historic Lower Ninth Ward, a beacon of Black excellence and homeownership that has overcome adversity since Hurricane Katrina. From personal stories and reflections on New Orleans’ cultural legacy to insights into the future of art, education, and technology in African diaspora communities, this night is a testament to the enduring spirit and contributions of the African diaspora.
